Duties and Responsibilities: Each branch of the military has different needs and entrance requirements for medical professionals. However, one requirement all four military branches share is the physical health standards. Any minor physical weakness, or deviation, from the slightest vision or hearing impairment to flat-footedness, could disqualify you for acceptance into the military. Additionally, you would have to pass physical fitness tests and endurance tests as well. The standards do vary slightly amongst the branches, but generally the requirements are very strict.
Duties and Responsibilities: Oriental medicine practitioners use forms of acupouncture and treatment through the chinese concepy of "qi," which means energy. Oriental medicine treats a variety of ailments including headaches,back pain, arthritis or other illnesses by identifying patterns of imbalance within a body's energy levels and working to readjust fluids or tissues in order to keep the body imbalance within a body's energy levels and working.
and administers patient medications. it monitors patient during sport events or physical activity and performs tests and prescribes medication and treatment, as necessary it consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. It requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. it may require at least 2-4 years of sports medicine experience. Performs a variety of tasks. May report to a medical director. Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Duties and Responsibilities: Acupuncture regulations vary state by state, according to the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Unlike conventional Western medical practice, acupuncture professionals are trained to treat the entire individual rather than the specific illness or condition. They take into account a patient's physical, mental and emotional condition in order to determine the proper course of treatment
Duties and Responsibilities: Orthodontics, a specialty within the dental profession, involves straightening teeth and correcting bites. As an orthodontist, you are responsible for locating problems with the positioning of patients' teeth and with their oral development. You might use x-rays or plaster molds of your patients' teeth to do this. You will then use dental appliances, such as braces, retainers and space maintainers, to correct these problems for the purpose of providing better function, appearance and facial development. You will also be responsible for planning custom treatment plans that are tailored to treat each individual patient based on his or her dental records and specific anomalies.
Duties and Responsibilities:Dental hygienists use many types of tools to do their job. They clean and polish teeth with hand, power, and ultrasonic tools. In some cases, they remove stains with an air-polishing device, which sprays a combination of air, water, and baking soda. They polish teeth with a powered tool that works like an automatic toothbrush. Hygienists use x ray machines to take pictures to check for tooth or jaw problems.
