presidents day

  "Presidents Day"


 Presidents day is an american holiday and it's always celebrated on the third Monday of February. It's recognized by George Washington. The Federal Government calls it "Washington's birthday" they traditionally celebrate on February 22nd Washington's actual birthday. In different states they tend to celebrate each presidents birthday and they give the day off. We honor presidents day by having the day off and celebrating it. Presidents day is celebrating both birthday's of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. This holiday is also a tribute to the general who created the first military badge of merit for the soldiers. Washington is being honored by the countries having statues of him. Also it honors the life and work of George Washington. People think it's just about the sales on presidents day.
