Student Success Statement
“I have been asked what i mean by
“word of honor” I will tell you
. Place me behind prison walls-
walls of stone ever to high, ever
so thick reaching ever so far into
the ground- there is a possibility
that in some way or another i
might be able to escape, but stand
me on the floor and draw a chalk
line around me and have me give my
word of honor never to cross it.
Can i get out of that circle?
No, never! I’d die first.”
Karl gives a very deep and good quote aboutthe word honor he defines it very
well and gives great examples. The
word of another tells you a lot of things
including the place behind a person that has
been in prison walls. They know exactly
what they've gone through and they know
now what honor is. Karl is saying that he
will forever be honored because he says
if he steps out of the circle he would prefer
dying then that happening to him becaus
e he feels like he should always be
in that circle no matter what like if it was his life. Things
happen and you lose your honor but you
have to be positive and try to become
honorable again because if he’s not
positive about trying to be honorable
again then it won’t happen. You have
to try your best to become honorable
it’s a very good thing to feel when you are
honorable. Choose the right and neve
r get out of the circle because it’s dangerous.
