 A Choice: Poverty or Prosperity

"i hated poverty. poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and i can change that (poverty). It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decided that I would change it."

 Dr. Ben Carson 

I agree with Dr. Ben Carson i would never like to go through poverty i'm thankful for the roof i have on top of my head and the food that we have on our table thanks to my parents. If that where the case to ever go through it nobody likes being in poverty and i wouldn't wish it to anybody because it's nothing to look forward to. But if Ben Carson got out of poverty then im sure anyone can get out of it if they have free education anything is possible you just have to want it to get it things don't just come to you have to earn it and deserve it for your hard work. Ben Carson accomplished his goal of getting out of poverty you have to have high expectations for yourself in order to get them. Ben Carson deserved it because he focused in school thanks to his mother telling him and his brother to read and no more watching t.v. ever since that he realized he wasn't "dumb" as people thought he was his mom always believed he wasn't dumb. He succeeded in life thanks to him wanting to get out of poverty.

presidents day

  "Presidents Day"

 Presidents day is an american holiday and it's always celebrated on the third Monday of February. It's recognized by George Washington. The Federal Government calls it "Washington's birthday" they traditionally celebrate on February 22nd Washington's actual birthday. In different states they tend to celebrate each presidents birthday and they give the day off. We honor presidents day by having the day off and celebrating it. Presidents day is celebrating both birthday's of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. This holiday is also a tribute to the general who created the first military badge of merit for the soldiers. Washington is being honored by the countries having statues of him. Also it honors the life and work of George Washington. People think it's just about the sales on presidents day.

"Enthusiasm makes the difference."

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

Dr. Norman says that Enthusiasm makes a difference and i agree because if you have Enthusiasm it will make a change because if you don't have it i don't think you can achieve anything like if you're in a sport and you have no enthusiasm towards it you won't be chosen to play or you won't even make it to the team. Or when it comes to school and the classes you have you have to put in enthusiasm in order to get good grades. When i was in my freshmen year during the Christmas break we played bravo highs school and i was so excited for the game because i was going to play against my brothers school for the first time and i was in varsity and i think if i wouldn't have enthusiasm i wouldn't have played good. Also in my other school where i moved for my first semester of junior year i wasn't looking forward to it because they moved me schools because i had moved houses. Another example is like the famous soccer players from the Chivas Guadalajara team sometimes they are not enthusiasm so they don't play as good but other times they are just doing their thing because they are enthusiast

 Dean Smith was a really successful man he is someone to look up to. he's a great example for anyone out there. He choose the right like everyone should do he did exactly what he was suppose to do. Sometimes in life you can't do everything you want to do you have to for what;s right something that will do you good in the future or in your present. Sometimes things get hard and you can't do exactly what you want because of having to choose the right. Dean Smith got to where we was because he always choose the right. Many people admired him they even named a sports center after him the Dean Smith Sports center. He says he wasn't trying to leave a legacy that he was trying to do what was right. He broke records and he won alot of national championships because he was a great coach and he knew what was coming he's a great example.

    I agree with Dr Randy Pausch because if you choose to do good things in life then good things will come hopefully. And if you put your work to it then you will achieve your dreams. If you choose the wrong it won't help you in any way. It will just affect you and keep you away from achieving your dreams. You always have to choose the right everywhere you go and in everything you do always think twice before doing it because you will regret it or karma will get to you. And just live life because like Dr. Randy Paunch he had cancer and he wasn't thinking about passing away he was thinking about living life to the fullest and making good decisions.
