“ The Importance of Good Sportsmanship”
Good sportsmanship is about playing by the rules, discipline, respect, and self control.  A good sport has fun because they enjoy playing the game more than the final outcome.  Top Ten Tips to teach your kids about good sportsmanship. Show respect to yourself by treating others the way you want to be treated. Respect not only your teammates, but also your opponents. Respect your coaches and the officials of the game. Respect the rules of the games.  Accept the judgment calls of the coaches and the officials without argument. Offer encouragement to teammates, especially when they make mistakes. Forgive yourself when you make a mistake and get right back into the game. Lose without pouting. Congratulate the winning team in a sincere manner.  Sometimes it helps to have a specific song, phrase or image to run through in your head that helps you relax and be yourself when you start to get frustrated. Along the same lines, work on recognizing when you start to lose focus or get too serious. If you lose don’t make up excuses .  Good sportsmanship is one of the life lessons that children can learn from sports. You can help your children understand Parents are important role models, so let your children see you upholding these principles, whether you play a sport. manifestation of our own ethics in real life. Sportsmanship like ethics reflects both the character and the actions of a coach. The image a coach projects on the field is usually a product of his or her character. You have to encourage your daughters/sons too be a good sportsmanship and too learn how to lose or win.  So they could learn from small too be a good sportsmanship  or else they will grow up being a bad sportsmanship. Choose the right and be a great sportsmanship.
