Industrial Hygienist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Industrial hygienists evaluate health hazards, conduct healthrisk assessments, manage industrial or business health programs, and provide consultation. They may be administrators, researchers, consultants or teachers. Many of the work has been part of the industrial or the government team although some have private practices. Industrial hygienists often:
- Collect samples and perform laboratory analyses.
- Check worker exposure to radiation, vibrations, and noise.
- Calibrate equipment.
- Investigate possible health hazards.

Education:
Students should take challenging college preparatory courses, especially in mathematics and science, during high school. A career in industrial hygiene requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health engineering, or the physical sciences. Reflection: I wouldn't like to be a Industrial Hygientist, because i'm not intrested in science. |
